All spectacles dispensed to patients are backed by a guaranteed standard of care and service provided by practices displaying the sight care symbol (right).
Summary of practice undertaking:
For a period of three months, to change the spectacle lenses if they are unsatisfactory in use and a different prescription is necessary, provided the practice has attended to the complete function of eye examination and dispensing. This 'non-tolerance' undertaking does not extend to problems caused by an unstable eye condition which requires frequent changes of prescription. In the event of any defect in the spectacles due to faulty materials, workmanship or design being reported within 12 months of the dispensing, to repair or replace with spectacles free of charge and as quickly as possible. For a period of 12 months from the date of dispensing to make minor repairs, adjustments and modifications to the spectacles free of charge.
