End to John O' Groats May 2006 National Scooter Rally While everyone else was organising and participating in the Moorends to Selby rideout, Scooter Stu set off a run from the bottom of England to the top of Scotland. Organised by David of the Westgate Runners, 40 signed up, 31 actually scooters took part. Back up van was driven by Mark from Ska'd for life SC and manned by John of Wakefield Scooters at Horbury. Some took in the rally to Newquay but the ride officially started on the Sunday at Lands End. It took till Wednesday to reach John O Groats and the Southern riders wouldn't see home until Saturday Evening. I cannonballed it down from JOG in a day getting home at 9.30pm It was a great ride and I'd do it again tomorrow if the chance came up again Click on any picture to enlarge |
