Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

Tia - German Shepherd  20/7/2001 - 14/7/2004

After a very brave battle against a still unknown illness, Tia lost her battle for life today. Throughout it all she was one very special "Tigster" and leaves a huge, far too quiet hole in everyones life that she touched. She will stay in our hearts forever and is now with the brothers and sister she had never meet until today. Their gain is most certainly our loss.

Always our very "special" girl!

Ninja - Border Collie 12/11/87- 8/12/03

Ninja was given sleep when his legs would no longer hold him up.  He went with dignity and a chocolate off the Christmas tree!
He will always be remembered for his antics in the Obedience ring, such as getting up to investigate the nearest bitch during out-of-sight stays, but getting back in place just as Christine returned, or tossing the dumb-bell up in the air and catching it when doing a run-off.
A loyal dog with a keen sense of humour who will be sorely missed. Angie Gooseman

Oscar (Golden Royal Charmer) - Official Scruffy Mongrel 02/89 -  02/01/04

My first dog, you took me from Elementary to Advanced, and wowed everyone with your super fast running contacts. You had your 30 seconds of fame when you won the ABC final in 1997, and went on to star at Olympia and Crufts.  You loved everyone and would willing work with anyone, playing up to the crowd at every opportunity.

You may have been a great agility dog, but you were also a good mate to me, dad and Leo too.  Sadly age caught up with you, and this morning I knew the time was right. You were sadly PTS to maintain your dignity. We'll miss you old fella.  Thanks for everything.  Lisa Adamson

Delta Bar-Ninja 6/6/90- 24/5/02 (WS)

Delta was the first dog I had from a puppy. Previously I had owned 2 rescue dogs.  He won 2 Beginners, 2 Novices and 1 B in open obedience and tried his paws in Agility for Sharon which he adored (and Sharon too). He was a lovely faithful Border Collie and adored children (there's no accounting for taste!) He had a severe digestive disorder, for which nothing further could be done, so I had to make the decision that we all dread. Teal 1987 - 2002 (Springer Spaniel)

Teal was quietly put to sleep on Monday 25th November at the age of nearly 16. She was the first dog I ever had, having been petrified of dogs as a child! It was when I met David & his dog Gemma (Lab x Springer) that I first realised that dogs could be so much fun and good company too. We later got married and I started looking for that special dog for myself. I found Teal, full of life and love. She has taught me a lot about dogs, helping me to get over my fears and giving me a lot of pleasure.
She was the one who introduced me to agility at the local riding school show, but I never realised it I would get so hooked in the future.
It wasn't until I got Freyja that I found out that there was a whole new world out there. Teal was a bit of an eccentric character who used to like watching things - fish in the pond, birds in the hedge and would spend hours sitting outside the bunny holes on the farm where we used to live. They never did come out to play!! One of her favourite hobbies apart from eating was swimming, something she was a bit of any expert at, quietly slipping into the river and swimming for miles (literally!).
We shall all miss her, especially Freyja. She was a very fit dog for her age, until her last week when her kidneys started to fail, so it wasn't very kind to let her suffer. It's a very difficult decision to make, but it was important to think of her and all the good times we had.  Veronica and David Wilson.
