With assistance from The Methodist Church Archives and History Committee ( a special thank you) we can piece the following together.Harry was born on the 14th October 1904.From being a minister in Stroud 1931 , Towcester 1932 and Uttoxeter in 1935,he joined the Royal Army Chaplains Department in 1940. He embarked with British Expeditionary Force in March 1940 and soon afterwards was evacuated from Dunkirk. He remained in the UK until May 1941 when he joined the Mediterranean Expeditionary Force.In 1946, after a year on UK duties, he was stationed in Palestine where he was a member of the Palestine Camera Club.Returning to the UK in 1950 he then volunteered for service in Korea from 30.3.51 and returning to the UK Home establishment 28.9.52. He was taken on staff Northumbrian District 66 Training regiment RAC and relinquished his commission in October 1953.His medal entitlement is the Queens Korea, UN Korea , General Service Medal Palestine 45/48 , 1939/45 star , Africa Star, Italy Star, Defence Medal and War Medal.The General Service Medal bar Palestine 1945-48 is missing .
