The picture is of a large church bell which has been dislodged from its tower and remains on a street in Seoul. The notice reads - This bell being relocated and enshrined through the co-operative efforts of The Metropolitan Police, City of Seoul, and the 24th Engineer Construction Group. Some years ago I searched on the words “24th Engineers” and located an American website. I emailed a man on that group and he remembered this bell. “I used to pass it on the way to the PX” he said. I sent him an image and this photograph was the first of Reverend Pointon’s to be published on the internet on the website for the 24th Engineers.
