This strange looking covered cart had me guessing until I corresponded with a Korean Veteran in the USA. |

He informed me that it was called a honey bucket and that such carts were a common sight. |
|
They were used to collect human waste which was then spread on the fields or dried out (possibly in shell holes) prior to being used as fertiliser. |

This appears to be an American Military Policeman engaged in traffic control. He is standing on an oil drum or similar. The only traffic is a Honey Bucket. War damage is visible in the distance. |
