The Honey Bucket

This strange looking covered cart had me guessing until I corresponded with a Korean Veteran in the USA.
He informed me that it was called a honey bucket and that such carts were a common sight.
They were used to collect human waste which was then spread on the fields or dried out (possibly in shell holes) prior to being used as fertiliser.

This appears to be an American Military Policeman engaged in traffic control. He is standing on an oil drum or similar. The only traffic is a Honey Bucket. War damage is visible in the distance.
