"The Waltons were cousin to the Parkers. The last of the Walton male line was Banastre Walton. Banastre and Jane (nee Toulson) were childless and after Banastre died in 1784, his widow made John Parker (second son of Elizabeth and Robert) her legal heir. John was Jane's second cousin. John took the surname Toulson as a condition of the inheritance."
