Merlin Emrys was second to take the title of 'Merlin.' He aranged for the Kingmaking of Cadwaladyr and the union with Morgaine of Avalon. It was she as 'Lady of the Lake' who gave him guardianship of the sword Excalibur for the protection of the Isle.
