Mayo Shin Do Archive DVD'S... A new project is underway to archive all Mayo Shin Do Video footage and old photographs into an on-going series of DVD volumes. Sennen Club Student Dave Warwick has undertaken the project in an attempt to 'round-up' all old Video tapes, cine-reels, photographs, writings and press cuttings and archive them into one place for the good of the future of Mayo Shin Do.
The project is 'on-going' as there are mountains of vhs tapes to go through and archive. Anybody who is interested in purchasing any of the Archive DVD's should see either Derek, Elaine, or Clive. Lists are to be made available in the near future. If anybody has any old Mayoshindo/Kyushindo Video or Cine Footage, Old photographs, press cuttings or writings etc that should be a part of the archives, they should give it to either Dave Warwick, or Clive Double. You can send Video Tapes, photographs, paperwork, or cine reels. All contributions will be returned when archived. |
At
present, six DVD volumes have been completed which include rare old footage
of Mr Mayo demenstrating Judo, Kyushindo Judo at Highgate, Several Black
belt Grading sessions and various footage of Derek Collins improvising
demonstrations of various Mayo Shin Do techniques. The aim is not to edit
out the 'bad bits' but simply to salvage any old footage that is lying
around on old vhs video tapes, before it becomes too old and damaged to
view.
