Aero is now the fastest production car (256.11 mph) it's non tuned and
American. But the Bugatti looks better and probably drives a lot better. I would
rather have a Veyron anyways. (If I could afford one)
Description: The W12-650 is without doubt the most extreme Golf GTI on the road.
Where the engine would normally be there's a tiny luggage space, and where the
rear seats would normally be there's a rather large 6.0-litre W12 engine.
Officially it's the unit from the Phaeton with a pair of turbochargers bolted
on; unofficially that means it's the engine from the Bentley Continental GT.

First Crashed Bugatti Veyron
OOPS!!!!!
We
only know of one other time a Bugatti Veyron has been wrecked, and that was
during the car's development when a prototype was destroyed doing a high-speed
test. There was the time a preproduction Veyron performed a very public spin-out
at Mazda's Laguna Seca Raceway during the Monterey Historics. These incidents
actually delayed the debut of the production car, though perhaps it should have
stayed in the oven a bit longer if its designers were worried about stability at
speed.

Ultima GTR
WORLDS FASTEST CAR 9.9sec ¼ mile British Supercar
The Ultima Factory has recorded yet another blistering statistic in the
multiple world record holding Ultima GTR supercar. Driven by Ultima
director, Richard Marlow, the GTR recorded a standing ¼ mile time of 9.9secs
@ 143mph terminal speed at the FIA approved and verified Santa Pod Raceway.
The Bugatti Veyron may no longer be the worlds fastest car.
Today — following a number of teasers and leaks — Barabus officially unveiled
the TKR: a new 1005 horsepower super car the automaker says is capable of doing
zero to 60 mph in 1.67 seconds. What's more, the car reportedly has a top speed
of 270 mph — nearly 20 more than the Veyron. Power comes from a 6.0 liter V8
twin-turbocharged with dual intercoolers. The car has a full carbon fiber body
and chassis. Further details remain sparse, but the automaker says it will sell
the car for £360,000, which should translate to around $500,000, using typical
automotive market conversion rates.

2007 Audi R8 187mph
Based around various components shared with the (Audi-engineered) Lamborghini
Gallardo, the R8 uses a mid-mounted, dry-sumped version of the RS4’s 4.2-litre
FSI V8 engine to deliver stunning performance: 0-62mph takes a claimed 4.6
seconds and the top speed (unencumbered by one of those pesky 155mph limiters)
is reckoned to be a whopping 187mph. One of the worlds fastest cars. MORE HERE AND VIDEO
Vauxhall Vectra VXR New for 2007
Vectra and Monaro VXR models are already some of
the most powerful cars on the road, but that hasn’t stopped Vauxhall giving them
even more grunt.
New 2007 model year versions of the Vectra VXR have had the power boosted
from 255PS to 280PS, thanks to a redesigned induction system, modified engine
components and retuned electronic engine control software. These revisions to
the 2.8-litre V6 turbo engine knock four-tenths of a second off the 0-60mph
sprint time, taking it down to just 6.1 seconds for the hatchback and 6.3
seconds for the estate.
To match the engine’s extra power, Vauxhall’s engineers have also tweaked the
chassis to give more dynamic handling. Modified spring and shock absorber
settings and correspondingly retuned IDSPlus2 chassis control software is said
to optimize the pitch, roll and turn-in characteristics to make the most of the
increased performance without ruining the Vectra VXR’s impressive refinement.
The difference between the normal chassis setting and the Sport setting, which
is activated by the dashboard-mounted Sport Switch, has been further increased
too, making sure that the Vectra’s handling can cope with the most enthusiastic
driver’s demands.
Meanwhile the Vectra’s big brother has had an even more dramatic power boost,
thanks to asupercharger.
The limited-edition VXR500 Supercharged
is based on the standard 6.0-litre Monaro VXR8,
but uses forced induction to take the power from 403 to 500PS and torque up from
530Nm to a massive 677Nm. In addition to the positive displacement supercharger,
the conversion also includes an upgraded fuel system, clutch revisions and
bespoke engine tune.
It’s expected that the VXR500 will have a sub five second 0-60 time and a top
speed in excess of 180mph, and yet it is surprisingly relaxing to drive, as most
of the torque is available low down in the engine’s rev range.
This limited edition model is available for only £35,995 ($67,148 USD
equivilent) on-the-road. That’s less than half the price of any other coupe with
500bhp!
