Not everyone is who they say
they are and you should always ask for identification.
As a security precaution,
membership and I.D. cards have been issued to members of On Call
which will help you identify our members.
These are credit card size
plastic cards (shown below). The back of the card is also printed and
should be checked as they are replaced each year as membership status
is confirmed and renewed. If an I.D. card cannot be shown then you
may contact 01937 587 265 for confirmation as to valid membership of
the Order, or ask for another form of identity (e.g. driving license)
and keep a record of that person's details.

You should never let a person
onto your premises unless you are completely satisfied that the
person is who they say the are.
Always ask for identification
cards and contact details. Our members have all been issued with
membership and identity cards and should carry them with them at all
times. If no membership or identity card can be shown then do not let
this person into your house unless they are personally known to you.
Make another appointment and also contact our office with the details.
Do check the date of issue and
the 'valid until' date of any membership and identity cards and look
to see if they have been tampered with in any way. Any doubts - do
not let the person onto your premises and call the police.
Always make appointments in
advance and have another members of the family or a friend or
neighbour present if you feel it is appropriate.
You may contact the Order
before your meeting and we will confirm whether the person calling is
one of our members.
If you are unsure as to
whether any clergy are genuine members of the Order, do not let them
onto your premises. Please inform us using the e-mail link to the
Order's UK Northern Office or phone 01937 587 265 (UK).
You will be contacted as
quickly as possible and current membership status will be given to you.
