| Mercury orbits the Sun at a distance of 58 million kilometres, making it the closest known planet to the Sun. It takes 88 days to complete one of these orbits. It is the smallest terrestrial planet with a diameter of only 4,878 km. The other terrestrial planets (earth-like) are Venus, Earth and Mars. | ||
