The Commander and his crewmen are all played by Major Matt Mason and his friends, a great space toy line created by Mattell in the 1960s. It appears that the Major was 40 years old in the summer of 2006 and so the Spacepod celebrated the anniversary. On 4th July we launched a Star Rocket in his honour. This is a plastic rocket powered by a mixture of baking soda and vinegar. This video shows our celebratory flight. You'll need Quicktime.
