The CARIHUELA district is at the centre of a long beachside promenade, which stretches from Torremolinos to Benalmadena. The beaches have all the usual facilities, including beach bars, sun beds and showers. Water sports facilities include boat-hire, ‘banana’ boat, parascending and water skiing. There are numerous bars, hotels and nightspots, some with live music and many restaurants, offering a variety of cuisine. For the energetic, there are discotheques and night clubs.

Within the nearby pedestrians-only area, there are many interesting shops, selling clothes, leather, souvenirs etc, as well as the usual bakeries, banks, supermarkets etc. There are good shopping facilities in centre of Torremolinos or visit Malaga for that big shopping trip!

THE COSTA DEL SOL  offers much to see and do, from water-parks (including Aquapark in Torremolinos), bowling and Tivoli World theme park to local ‘fiestas’ and places of historical interest such as Granada and Sevilla. TRAVEL

There are FLIGHTS to Malaga, from most main UK airports. The airport is located west of the city of Malaga and the apartment is only about 5 miles/10 mins drive from the airport. 

TAXIS are always available from the airport, just through the exit doors after passing through Customs (Aduana). For return trips there is a taxi rank near the apartment.

CAR HIRE companies have facilities at the airport and hire cars can be reserved in the UK, e.g. through travel agents or via the Internet, for collection at Malaga airport.

The local RAILWAY connects eastwards with the Airport and city of Malaga (30 mins journey) and westwards to Benalmadena, Arroyo de la Miel and Fuengirola. It is a fair walk (with luggage!) or a bus ride from Torremolinos station to the apartment, however - taxi is quicker and easier.
