The castle itself is still in use as a family home by the Saunders-Watson family and is open as a separate attraction on the Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday. It dates back to the Norman Conquest although has been extensively modified and extended throughout its long and eventful history.
Entrance costs are £10 per Adult, £5 per child and £25 for a family of 2 Adults and 2 Children. This is just for the history event and does not cover entrance into the castle.
