Hugh's spell at Exeter saw him appear in 125 matches for the Falcon's and he amassed some
757 pts. He was to switch to Swindon for the 1951 season, whilst between 1952-53, he could
be found racing in the colours of Cardiff where he was to average better, scoring 367.5
pts from 48 meetings. Hugh then returned for a short period to the County Ground in 1954.
It was during the 1952-53 season that Hugh was to get an international ride, though oddly not for his native country Australia. Whilst England were on tour down under they found themselves a rider short so in stepped Hugh to make up the numbers.

though he appears to have ridden no less than 171 times for the Falcons and scored 945
pts. Joined exeter from Plymouth, and once took part in an England "C" test match at the County Ground v Sweden with
Vic scoring 9 pts as England won 61-46. He was eventually transferred back to Plymouth in
May 1954.

an up and coming star after he had impressed Lew Coffin at the Weymouth training ground.
As it transpired, he only appeared in three matches for the Falcon's from which he averaged
just 1.14 points. Joined Second division Plymouth where he was soon to score double figures.

and made just nine match appearances in the colours of Exeter, ending up with
an average of 4.55 from 29 rides. Had just one appearance in 1971 scoring 4+2 from 3
rides though I am not sure if this was a guest appearance or not.

Len had first riding speedway at Aldershot in 1952 and later with both Wimbledon and Oxford,
before injuries accounted for his retirement in 1954. He then emigrated to Canada before returning to
England in 1960 and eventually trying his hand at the County Ground. But after less than a dozen appearances,
it became clear the the big Exeter track was not to his liking and was dropped from the Team. Made an appearance
for Rayleigh some weeks later but in his first outing he crashed and was badly injured.

2004 season and ended on a 7.74 average from 44 matches. Due to back problems, he announced
he would not be available to ride in 2005, but took on the Team manager role instead.

Born on August 16th, 1965 in Norfolk, Richard joined Exeter in 1988 and made a huge impact when he
scored a paid maximum on his debut. He saw his averages climb steadily every season and in
1992 reached the P.L Riders Final finishing third. Walked out at the start of the 1993
season over the new pay regulations but returned soon afterwards. Then on the day of his
28th birthday, he was involved in a simple looking spill, but one that was to sadly end

Born 9.12.1952 in Vienna, Austria, Walter originally had trials at Newport and Wolverhampton
in 1976 but neither were impressed. In 1977, he paid his own expenses to drive to Britain and get
a trial at Exeter and so impressed the Exeter camp that that gave him a contract
following a meeting against Polish touring side Stal Gorzow. Prone to injury, and making
little impression, he was finally released after just 13 match appearances from which he
averaged 4.0pts.
