Joined from Plymouth but didn't ride for Exeter until August due to a busted ankle and opened
his account with four points gainst Plymouth. Signed on a permanent basis for a £100 fee
from hisparent club Wembley who he never actually rode for but had been loaned out to Sheffield
and Plymouth before joining Exeter. Another ankle injury kept Stan out of the side
for a while in 1949 after which he failed to find any form. Altogether he had appeared in
42 matches for the falcons and totalled 145 points.

With the Introduction of the new "Elite League in 1997, Leigh was snapped up
on loan from Ipswich to assist Exeter in their quest for honours. Leigh had
made the U-21's final in 1996 and was seeded automatically for the 1997 British
final, that he went on to win. Settling in quickly around the County Ground,
Leigh was soon to become the Falcon's top scoring rider, averaging 8.76 from 38 meeting

A former Grass Tracker, Pete had been promotong at Rayleigh alongside Wally Mawdsley,
and it was in 1960 that they decided to bring Speedway back to the County Ground. He rode
at Exeter in 1960 when they had an open licence and continued to race during 1961 and 1962
during which time he had appeared in 33 matches and scored 275 points. Officially retired
at the end of 1962 and took over as team manager, but a spate of injuries in 1963 saw
Pete don his leathers once more for the Falcons.

Born in Brainsdale, Australia on Feb 12th 1973, Mark Lemon joined from Somerset for the
2004 season having previously ridden in the Elite league at Poole and Oxford. Despite
aggrevating a knee injury late in May that required surgery, Mark topped the Exeter
averages with 9.39 from 32 matches and won the Westernapolis 2004 and finished runner up in
the P.L Riders Championship. Also topped the Flacon's chart in 2005 when he ended on a total of
8.73 from 42 meetings.

Gary began racing for the combined Newport/Exeter "Warriors"
at Amateur level before an injury to Exeter's No.6 Paul Fudge in 1997, gave Gary the
chance to break into the full Team and was soon proving his worth. But a damaged wrist was to keep him out
for most of the 1998 campaign having averaged 4.31 from just 7 matches. Doubled up with
C.L St.Austell in 1999 and for Exeter he was to average 4.03. Many will recall his
legendary pass around Carl Stonehewer and Martin Dixon on the last bend of the last lap
in the Young Shield Final of 1997, one that will live in folklore.

Born in Shepton Malett, Somerset on April 20th 1978, Roger joined Exeter in 1998 finishing his first season with the Falcons
on 4.83 from 36. Switched to A.Essex owing to the points limit for the 1999 season but was
back for the 2000 and his average leapt to 7.05 from 40 matches. Following a suspension in 2001, he was
back in the Exeter line up for 2002 averaging 7.52 whilst in 2003 he averaged 5.11 from 47 meetings.
Regained his form in 2004 averaging 7.55 from 46 before announcing his retirement at the close of the
season.

Joined Exeter from Oxford in 1973 involving a swap deal with Bob Kilby having previuosly
ridden at Coventry, Weymouth and Long Eaton. Settled in well around the County Ground and
was to finish the 1973 season on an avergae of 7.57 from 28 matches. Was ever present
during Exeter's B.L title winning side of 1974 and maintained his average when he ended on
7.29 from 36 meetings. Had been a reserve in the 1971 World Final but failed to get a ride.

Born on January 12th, 1971 in Malta, Mark joined Exeter in 1995 from K.Lynn after several clubs
had tried to get his signature. Took time to settle around the Exeter track, scoring
better away than he did at home and averaged 9.76 from his 34 matches. Was given a one month's ban
at the start of the 1996 season after he had threaetened to retire from the sport but still
went on to finish the season on a 9.46 average from 34 meetings. The introduction of the
elite and Premier Leagues in 1997 saw Mark move onto Bradford and became World Champion
in the year 2000.

Born October 3rd,1937 in Romney Marsh, Des had arrived at the County Ground
in 1964 following the closure of the New Cross camp, and his exciting and sometimes
erratic style of riding made him a great favourite with the fans. He totalled 184 points
from 32 meetings during the 1964 season whilst in 1965 he managed to average 5.68 from 28
before announcing that he wanted to move to a track nearer his home in the South East and
switched to Oxford. Was to be later found at Hackney and Romford

Reg came through the Junior ranks at Exeter in 1958 and rode in five out of Exeter's six open meetings
that season. Shone well in the Junior Championship at the County Ground finishing one point behind the eventual
winner Colin Goody. Later rode at Norwich, Swindon and New Cross before moving to Edinburgh where he 88pts
from only nine matches.
