John Tenniel (1820-1914)
John Tenniel's reputation rests on his designs for Alice
in Wonderland and Alice through the Looking Glass. He
also produced amusing drawings for Punch and for Once
a Week. Apart from humorous drawings, he was generally good at action
pictures, using a bold line and clear, simple compositions.
