Upton Parish Council had its first meeting on the 24th October 1973, but prior to that date parish business was transacted at the Vestry Meeting.  The seven members were; H. C. ROBERTS, H. E. Street lighting a problem in 1973.
H. C. ROBERTS appointed clerk on 17th December 1973.
Meeting to discuss playing field was held at the home of Mrs J. Johnson on 17th November 1983. No more reports of outcome.
11th June 1984 - Proposed yellow lines outside fish and chip shop, No outcome.
