The Rose and Crown hosts lots of fundraising events throughout the year, raising thousands of pounds for local groups and charities. In 2007, events held at the pub raised a massive £12,789! The main fundraiser is the weekly pub quiz which raised a total of £8662.50. There's a wide range of groups that benefit from the pub's quiz, ranging from local groups like the scouts, church, chapel, football clubs and WI to charities such as the MS Society, LIVES and the air ambulance.
Not only does the quiz raise a huge amount of money for good causes, but it’s also a great social event too – all done with lots of good humour and never taken too seriously (well not usually).
The quiz is held every Thursday night starting around 9pm and everyone is welcome.

Last week £220 was raised, this weeks quiz is for the Christmas Market. This weeks quiz is for the Village Hall. |
