Please have a look around the site where you can find out all about eventing, Oscar, Richard, the owners and Spotless Vision Eventing.
Richard and Oscar, who was purchased in November 2005, have spent the winter getting acquainted. The pair are based in South Lincolnshire, close to the market town of Spalding. Although not an ideal base for an aspiring Burghley event horse, due to the less than challenging terrain, this is overcome by regular forays into Cambridgeshire, Rutland and Leicestershire.
Spotless Vision’s 1st season eventing proved to be a roller coaster, with
good early season promise thwarted by a mid-season injury, meaning that
entry into the targeted Burghley Young Event horse competition was
impossible. However, the end of season events made up for things, the pair
came close to winning several competitions and achieved many good results.
Importantly the pair improved with every outing and their dressage tests
got better and better. Oscar also gained further cross-country confidence
and tackled the relatively difficult Purston Manor course with skill and
ease. Ultimately the pair got onto the podium and they ended their 1st
season at Haldonby House in 1st place. In total the pair completed 8
events and 2 Burghley Young Event Horse qualifiers.
The remainder of 2006 will be spent recharging batteries before the
hunting season provides the pair with a good opportunity to hone skills,
which will help to prepare them for next years eventing schedule. Many
thanks to all of you who supported Spotless Vision Eventing this year
and we can promise you an even more exciting 2007, don’t miss it!
