Stacey & Willshall Ippepecuana owned by Val Hughes in the Under 16s at the Scope Festival 2005 Stacey doesn't remember the first time she sat on a horse, but at the age of 5 she started having riding lessons at the local riding school. She got into it so much that at the age of 7 Stacey got a 13.2hh palomino pony called Coffee on loan. Her parents Sharon and Steve told her she had to do a whole year with Coffee first before she could have her own pony to prove she really wanted one. The following October they bought her first pony Chester a 12.1hh, from show jumper John Whinnet.

Things just progressed from there, all Stacey ever wanted to do was show jump from day one. Eventually she moved onto a 13.2hh whom she competed her first affiliated show on at the age of 12. Soon after she moved onto 148cm ponies and along came Apache Cloud, bought from Vin Prater as a 4year old, who turned out to be a huge winner. Stacey at the age of 14 went on win the Junior British Novice final in 2003 - Apache Cloud only a five year old - and from that moment on Stacey realised show jumping was exactly what she wanted to do and even left school after GCSE's to concentrate on riding. Stacey trained with Di Lampard for a year and went on to acheive alot - including qualifying for the Royal International Horse show in 2005, which was her last year as a junior.

In May 2005 Stacey bought her first horse (Ninon D'elle) from Vin Prater. Another four year old Stacey carefully produced her with the help of trainer Philip Spivey. In 2006 they had massive success, 8th at the Welsh Masters, 3rd in the Senior British Novice final and then a Five-year-old Grand Prix win at the Arena UK Festival. Still only 17, Stacey started to add more horses to her string - Czechmate & Luck who were novices for Stacey to bring on, whilst Ovalien, who was purchased in 2006, wApache Cloud and Stacey winning the BEIB Junior British Novice Final in 2003 Courtesy of Susanne Jones as still on injury.

Now in 2009 Stacey has a new string, and a couple of youngsters waiting in the wings for the near future. Stacey is now looking to build on her achievements in previous years and hopes with Ovalien back in competion, new horse Argentto and Ninon D'elle nearly ready to come back to work after having a foal, the future looks bright.

Stacey is working hard to produce a good string of quality horses and is hoping that her hard work will start to pay off. Long term aims are to represent England and compete on a Nations Cup team, whilst more short term aims are to qualify for the Horse of the Year Show and to produce horses herself to win more championship titles.
