Meets on: Wednesday, and sometimes Friday.

The records do show this win for Penkhull in the same year that Electra won the Trophy section.  The Penkhull team would have consisted of four players with a total grade under 410.  The Wolverhampton League Lightning Tournament archive lists all winners in chronological order.

League Involvement

Newcastle have been involved in the League run by the North Staffordshire and District Chess Association since 1950/51.

Starting as Penkhull Church Chess Club, some time between 1983 and 1986, they changed to their current name of Newcastle Chess Club.
