(CCT) is a vibrant and dynamic organisation enabling churches of all
denominations within the Clarkston area to work, worship and enjoy a wide
variety of fellowship together.

Clarkston Churches
Together were very fortunate to have the Riding Lights Roughshod Theatre
Company (Riding
Lights Roughshod Theatre Company) in the Clarkston / Glasgow area for
around two weeks. The members of the
theatre company visited schools, prisons and churches in the area putting on
shows, leading drama workshops and generally inspiring and entertaining
audiences with their unique blend of humour, pathos, joy, exuberance, empathy
and compassion.
2008
Big Band Night.
CCT organised a Big Band
evening in the Couper Institute on Friday 15th
February 2008 with guest soloist, Kate Everett. It was a great evening enjoyed
by all who attended and either just listened or joined in with dancing the
night away. The proceeds from the event
were sent to the Al-Shurooq School for Blind Children
in Bethlehem.
2007 November SHOWING OF THE FILM “AMAZING
GRACE”
CCT (Clarkston Churches Together) organised the
presentation of the the inspirational film 'Amazing
Grace' which tells the story of William Wilberforce whose life was dedicated to
the abolition of slavery. The film was shown in Netherlee
Primary School on Friday 16 November.
Admission was free and a Discussion Panel followed the

2006 December SHOWING OF THE FILM "An Inconvenient Truth".
The
film "An Inconvenient Truth" was shown in Netherlee

At the conclusion of the film there was a question
time with a panel whose members have direct knowledge of the effects of Climate
Change. Panel members included representatives from Christian Aid, FoE, Eco-congregations and Eco-schools. Mrs Mairi Hearle, Former Director of
Oxfam in Scotland chaired the question time.
Also
the famous Puppet Theatre returned with a Christmas theme. The Puppet Theatre presented a Christmas
story entitled 'A Christmas Present' in Greenbank

"Film
'n' Fish Night". Sunday, 20th November, 2005.
We watched the hard-hitting film “Man Dancin”
on the Screen at Stamperland Church. "Man Dancin" is a gangster film with a
difference. It is an uncompromising tale of hope and redemption.
After the screening we enjoyed fish suppers in the Hall.
Sunday,
15th May, 2005. Clarkston Churches Together celebrated Pentecost in Overlee Park from 12.30 until 16.00 with a picnic lunch,
music including Jazz and Christian folk-rock, a puppet show, a tug of war, pony
rides, a bouncy castle, a bouncy chute, card making and much, much more.

"The Passion" performed by the Riding Lights Theatre Company at
Stamperland Parish Church. A powerful act of remembrance
which is both participatory and reflective, offering a deeper experience of the
nature of Christ's Passion during Lent.
