Blackcurrant Scones

200 grams self raising flour
50 grams margarine
50 grams caster sugar
1 egg (beaten)
100 grams frozen blackcurrants

 

Rub fat into sugar and flour and add blackcurrants.
Use the egg to bind the mixture, adding a drop of cold water if necessary.
Knead lightly and cut to size and number required.
Bake at 220C, 425F, or Gas 7 for around 15 minutes.
