John Pownall has been awarded the Silver Acorn in the Scout St George's Day Awards 2009. John who is Cub Scout Leader of 1st Newton is also the Assistant District Commissioner Cubs for West Wirral District.
The Silver Acorn is "in recognition of specially distinguished service"
