Scout and Guide Charity Post
reaches half million pound mark
Since its inception the Charity Christmas Post has raised over half a million pounds to local charities. This year £22,500 was given to local charities and St Andrew's, Meols, Scout Group was presented with a cheque for £926.44. On behalf of the Group a scout and a cub received the cheque and a certificate from the Mayor of Wirral.

A big thank-you to all those families who helped with the Christmas Charity Post. A total of 47 families were asked to sort post and to deliver post. Of those only two families were unable to help. This was a splendid effort, and I am really grateful to those Beavers, Cubs and Scouts and their parents who rallied round. Well done

MacLeod Building
The MacLeod Building has now been obtained for the Group. Some work has been done on refurbishing, but there is still much to do. It is hoped that before long, the Cubs will be meeting in the MacLeod Building, thus relieving the pressure on the Church premises on a Tuesday. There will be plenty of opportunities for parents to help in the refurbishment process.
