There are a couple of smaller engines at Cefn Coed, a little horizontal in the Winding Engine House and a steam hammer in the yard. The oddest item on site, in the part of the Winding Engine House that forms a local museum, is the world's last remaining Town Gas Powered Tram. Heavily restored but unique.

The Ray, Mead & Co engine. A typical late 19th century small industrial power plant.

The horizontal engine was built by Ray, Mead & Co. of London and drove the wood working shop at Taylor & Sons Foundry at Briton Ferry. It is belived to date from about 1880.

The anvil is to the left.

The steam hammer is by B & S Massey of Manchester

This particular unit came to Neath second hand from Blackpool. Canny lot up North.
