A big thank you - from Fr Denis Carter SSC on behalf of the Columban Missions for last week’s retiring collection of £403.16..
A hard backed notebook will be placed on the small table in the narthex. Please write in the book details of anyone who needs our prayers for any reason - whether in thanksgiving for a special occasion or event, or because they are ill, bereaved or experiencing difficulties of one kind or another.
Full names and so on don’t have to be given if this is not appropriate but if you feel s/he or they would appreciate a card from our parish community then please leave their full name and address.

The book will be taken up at the offertory and those included will be prayed for specifically during the weekly Masses.

How Would You Like To Plan Your Offertory Giving?
Loose Cash - is perhaps a decision just at the time the offertory plate comes round
Envelopes - help you to prepare your offertory at home [even save them up if you cannot get to Mass]
Standing Order - the planning is done for you- it’s sent by your bank to the church’s account each month.
Added extra- Gift Aid Scheme
Tax payers should make a gift aid declaration with envelopes and Standing Orders, then the church receives from the Inland Revenue 28p for every £1 donated.
Tax paying visitors - please use the “one off” envelopes in the wallet on the notice board so that the church can claim the tax back as above.
Non-tax payers- there is a special range of envelopes for non tax payers.
Please ask the Gift Aid scheme organiser: Colin Sutton [tel:286 6042]
[who is responsible for envelopes/Standing Orders]
Parish Centre - for bookings please contact Jan Knight on 01977 682335.
