These sessions will build on the basic skills learnt from the ‘Get Going’ group or your RYA level 2 and enable you to learn the basic skills required to race. 

Although club boats may be used, you would normally be expected to have your own boat for these sessions and it is recommended, but not essential to sail a Topper.

If you want to move on and learn to race, these sessions will teach you the basic rules and involve fun exercises and practice races.

You will get the most from these sessions if you sail a Topper, as this will allow you to compete on an equal level and get more from the session. Skills from these sessions will enable you to race competatively within the club or at other regional sailing events.
