I have three passions in my life; my family, (folk) music and football! Family Wife, Ann, married in 1970! Children, Nick and Clare. Grandaughter, Jaden, born 2001. Music I've sung since I can remember. First public performance at Morecombe Bay holiday camp age 6. Church choir. Local Gang Show. Almost got into Westminster Abbey choir. Soloist in grammar school choir. First guitar. Found folk music. Peed next to Bert Jansch at the Scots Hoose. Resident at Enfield Folk Club for Ralph McTell, Alex Campbell, Noel Murphy, The Dransfields, Martin Carthy. Parted with folk music in early 70's. Sang and played at London hotels in cabaret group. Gave up making music for 25 years! Rediscovered folk music (thanks Breezy!) in 2002. Recently bought the 8th guitar. Completely hooked again! Football Spurs supporter since 8 years old. In the Park Lane end when we won the league in '61. Cried regularly since! Played every Saturday until age 53! Play the whistle and brandish yellow and red cards every weekend now. "Who's the bastard in the black?" Oh yes, and the money to support all this has come from various jobs in IT over the last 40 odd years. |
