Somerset House - Office Refurbishment |
||||
|
Built in 1935, the building is locally listed and largely originates from the Art Deco style. The aim of the project was to upgrade the current office accommodation to modern day standards and IT requirements. New vertical and horizontal services were required and disabled access was made difficult due to site restraints. The project was planned in two phases to allow the building to used during the refurbishment, out of hours work was specified to minimise disruption. At the time of joining the practice the project was already on site allowing me to make revisions to working drawings and attend site inspections and project meetings. |
