Welcome to my site! I am a handweaver who produces mainly tablet woven braids for re-enactment and museums. I have been weaving since the early 1980s and have woven tablet braids since about 1990.

In the spring of 2005 I decided to push myself a little and wove some Celtic patterns. With the help of Kurt Laitenberger I managed to produce these two designs. They came from a German Bronze Age site called Hochdorf. The left one is a hooked diamond and the right one a Celtic weave. I can only weave these with a draft pattern in front of me. The warp has to be set up carefully and any mistakes are very difficult to put right. It was quite a challenge.
