25th anniversary
Welcome to the website for the Stirling Hillwalking Club. We are an independent club with approximately 50 members.

The members' ages and hillwalking experience and ability vary. The programme has walks to suit different levels.

The walks are planned and led by the members and we always welcome new routes and venues.

We meet every second Sunday at a set meeting place in Stirling and travel to the walks in cars. The winter programme tends to have low level walks within easy travelling distance. In summer we go further afield and have some more challenging hikes.

New members are always welcome and we encourage people to come out and give us a try before deciding to join. More details are available on the Membership Infomation page

The club has occasional weekend trips. In April and October 2008 some club members went to the Lake District.

In April we climbed Grizedale Pike, Cat Bells and High Spy and in October Skiddaw and Haystacks. See some photos of the weekends.

Stirling Hillwalking Club meets on alternate weeks from Dunblane Rambling Club. Many of the members belong to both clubs.

Club News

The AGM and walks planning meeting is on Mon 20th April at 7.30pm in the Mayfield Centre, Stirling. All club members welcome.

Please note changes to programme for walks on 29th March, 10th May and 7th June.

2008 was the 25th anniversary of the foundation of the Stirling Hillwalking Club.
Over 30 current, previous and (possibly) future members celebrated the 25th anniversary with two levels of walk and a lunch at the Lade Inn on 31st August.
12 went up Ben Ledi in the mist while 13 adults and 3 children had lovely weather on the 5 mile low level walk. Both groups met up with other members for a 25 year celebratory lunch, where our oldest club member thanked everyone for coming.
