Barton Churchyard

In June 2001 a team of volunteers set out to record all the Memorial Inscriptions in Barton Churchyard

It took nearly three years to complete but it is now a useful
source of information for local and family historians.
The Friends of Barton Churchyard was set up in June 2002
to help to maintain the churchyard and to improve it's appearance.

Newsletters (details below) are sent out to members, and workparties are organised to keep the churchyard neat and tidy and to provide a pleasant amenity for visitors and residents of Barton.

We have over 100 members, mostly from the Barton area, but also from Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Derbyshire, Hampshire, Herefordshire, Lincolnshire, Northumbria, Yorkshire, USA and Canada.

If you would like to join the Friends of Barton Churchyard, then print out the first page of this application form and send it off to our treasurer. You do not have to be an active member in order to join but just support the purposes of the group.

Only Newsletter 4 (Spring 2004) is available on the website at the moment.
Newsletter 1 (Autumn 2002)
Newsletter 2 (Spring 2003)
Newsletter 3 (Autumn 2003)
will be available soon.
