Facilities

The garden flat is a separate building within the garden of St. Merryn. It has lovely views to the south, towards Heanton Church and the Taw estuary.

(During 2007 an artist’s studio has been built on to the rear of the Garden flat and so the photo is no longer representative of the view. An updated photo will be posted in January 2008).

In the garden there is a swimming pool pool, fish ponds, hens, thatched summerhouse, barbecue facilities and sitting out areas. There is good off road parking.

Accommodation

The flat has a fully fitted kitchen with an adjacent dining area through an archway. There is a shower room, with toilet and wash hand basin. There is a large pleasant sitting area with cosy coal effect fire, elecrtric radiators, and colour TV.
Adults sleep upstairs in a bedroom with a king-sized bed. The childrens' bedroom on the ground floor sleeps up to three.

How to find us (See Map)

N.B. Remember to bypass Barnstaple by using the new bridge over the River Taw – just as you reach the roundabout on the edge of Barnstaple continue on the A39, marked Ilfracombe /Bideford, then at the third roundabout take the Ilfracombe road to Braunton, crossing over the new bridge to get back on to the A361.

Arriving at Braunton from Barnstaple on the A361:
On the outskirts of Braunton, immediately after the 30 mph speed limit sign, fork right following the "Elliott Gallery" sign and continue for three-quarters of a mile. Then turn right into Lower Park Road for quarter of a mile until you see a large red brick building set back on your left (Tyspane Nursing Home). Turn left immediately after this into an unmarked lane, with new houses on your right. At the top of this lane turn right and continue for approximately 200 yards. We are the pink house with copper beech trees in front - on the right-hand side of the road.
