Who's Who
Social & Events Committee
The
Social & Events committee was formed for two reasons,
firstly to raise funds for St Nicolas and secondly to repeat
the various social events which took place whilst we were
raising funds to build the Pastoral Centre.
Many
of the events organised throughout the year are supported
by the whole village community. Local schools and musicians
took part in the Music Festival which was held in May and many
members of the local Wine Tasting Club joined us for a Wine
Tasting evening in March. Bridge players in Bookham enjoyed an
afternoon playing Bridge, which was accompanied with tea.
Other
events have included celebrating Burns' Night, a Parish
quiz, various Musical Concerts and recitals, including
a day of Organ Music, Card Making Days and a Christmas Fair.
We have also produced Notelets for sale and have a Christmas
Pudding with a picture of St Nicolas on the lid.

Bookham Christmas Shopping Evening

St Nicolas was giving out chocolate coins to the children.
Carol Singers, music, mulled wine cookies were all part of the Christmas Spirit that evening.
