East Cliffs, Hastings

At the heart of the Old Town near the castle, is the start of an impressive line of cliffs that marches off East towards Pett Level and Rye. The cliffs display banding and caves (St Clements Caves are open to the public for guided tours). Much of the sandstone is iron stained and bivalve casts in weathered pyrites and worm tube shapes can be found.
