The pale limestones of this site contains some of the finest Cretaceous marine fossils in the world (140-90 million years ago). Specimens includ rays such as Cyclobatis - rarely preserved because of their relatively soft cartilage, crustaceans such as Aeger and the stemless crinoid Pterocoma.
