Praying Hands

Keep on loving each other as brothers. Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing  some people have entertained angels without knowing it. Hebrews 13:1-2

7- 14 Marriage Week  Thank you, Lord, for the blessings of marriage for couples, their families and wider society. Thank you too for the gift of singleness. Please help us each to find contentment and know Your will for our situation, trusting You to provide for all our needs.

Remember today everyone who has lost a loved one and is experiencing grief and loneliness. Ask God to comfort them and prompt caring friends and family members to express their support and affection in the coming weeks, months and years.

Pray for Ananda Shuchi, a 70 year old widow from Bangladesh. Give thanks that she is now receiving the correct treatment for an ulcer caused by leprosy after having been ostracised from her son’s home and village.

Give thanks she is now living back in the village and is able to have social contact again. Pray for the work of The Leprosy Mission throughout the world.

Lord, Your world is in turmoil with conflict, poverty and lack of basic facilities. We pray that You will raise up people who can try to mediate and help to alleviate the worst conditions. Help us to play our part in being kind and loving to our neighbours and friends and being generous with both our time and finances.

Continue to pray for Rev’d Graham as he rests at home.

The ladder of power reaches up, the ladder of grace reaches down.

“Truly I tell you, if you ask anything of the Father in my name, He will give it to you…”
(John 16:23)
