The Christian Understanding Of Marriage

Marriage is a gift from God whereby the love that makes for marriage is the same love that God has shown the world through His Son, Jesus Christ. Marriage is founded in God’s loving nature and those coming into God’s presence to give themselves to each other as husband and wife reflect the love of Christ for His Church.

Arranging Your Wedding

Civil Requirements

Marriage Schedules should be collected from the Registrar approx 6 weeks before the date of the wedding and returned, completed, to the Registrar no later than 4 weeks before the wedding. The Schedule should then be uplifted 7 days before the wedding and brought to the wedding rehearsal along with all fees.

Flowers

There are two pedestals in the church and a table at the front door. You are most welcome to make use of them for your floral arrangements. Flowers are normally placed in the church on the morning of the wedding, however should you like them to be in place on the day before speak to the Minister. Flower arrangements can be left in the church until after the Sunday service. However if you wish to remove your displays before Sunday this must be done no later than 5pm on Saturday.
