The charity is still evolving. We are proud to associate with Kings Love based in Romania who are working hard to run the day centre and we are pleased to have been able to send the following essential items directly to Romania

You may be surprised to see such basic items being sent over, such is the simple needs of the streetchild who have to live without what we consider everyday things.

The medical items are not your average first aid kit, few plasters here - serious wounds and injuries are commonplace with no medical assistance other than basic care by volunteers at the day centre

This page last updated Mar 09

The items here would soon be exhausted and will require replacement year in, year out.

The kitchen items allowed the day centre to continue operation within the Romanian regulations

 Direct cash support to Romania
£ 7,113

By far our major financial contribution has been, with our American sister charity - Kings Love, to buy a plot of land close to the city centre of Cluj Napoca and, in 2005, to erect a prefabricated building to act a permanent day centre

Day Centre - going up Day Centre - roof going on Day centre - nearly complete day Centre - just the finishing touches left

We usually try to have things bought locally in Romania, this supports the local economy. It is also usually cheaper and saves us shipping costs. Some things are not so readily obtained locally, so we have no choice but to buy them and ship them.
