Download site for complete Aberdeenshire and Banffshire parish censuses in the form of Excel spreadsheets.
An extra column has been added to each sheet with the full name of the person (for ease of search); mis-spellings and abbreviations of the first name have been corrected in this column. In some cases spouses maiden name or the parentage of the person have been added in the occupation or remarks column - not guaranteed to be correct.
In addition, a database comprising census details for 207,984 people - 50,058 in Banffshire (plus Bellie in Moray which is partly Banffshire) and 155,579 in Aberdeenshire in 1851.

The "full name" column in this data set has had all middle names removed and first names spelled in a standardised manner. Surname spellings are also often standardised, as are Place of Birth. Readme file included. What's missing? Large parts of Aberdeen city and the parishes of Cairnie, Chapel of Garioch, Drumoak, Longside.
