INTRODUCTION 
TO 
BURSCOUGH FOOTBALL CLUB

Burscough Association Football Club were founded in 1946 and are known as "The Linnets." The Club was promoted to the UniBond League Premier Division after losing just two games during 1999-2000 season which saw them finish in runners-up position. The Club has a second team playing in the Lancashire League and an under 18 youth team playing in the North West Youth Alliance. The Club's home ground is Victoria Park just off the centre of Burscough village which is situated midway between Liverpool and Preston. The Club and its predecessors Burscough Rangers have always played in green shirts and have played on Victoria Park since 1908.
 
CHAIRMAN
Chris Lloyd

A local business man, was appointed Chairman in June 2004 as successor to the long-serving Frank Parr who stepped down after 30 years in the post.

SECRETARY
Keith Maguire

Keith was appointed as the replacement for long-serving secretary Stan Strickland in July 2003. 
Previous experience as secretary and administrator in local football.

MANAGER
Derek Goulding

Appointed in October 2003after the resignation of Mike Marsh. Several years experience with the club in charge of the youth team and latterly with the reserve side
