In less than ten years Burscough Football Club have gone from a mid-table position in the second division of the North West Counties League to the UniBond League Premier Division. It is a tremendous achievement and to consolidate and build on that success the Club are now (May 2000) converting to a limited company.
Secretary Stan Strickland: "We have made massive strides under manager John Davison and this share issue will give people a chance to take a stake in our success and the massive future potential of the club. Our youth policy alone is now attracting unprecedented attention with a whole host of talented youngsters being attracted to the club. Five of last season's youth team have already featured in the first team - Lee McEvilly, Steve Leahey, Andy Pimlott, Marvin Molyneux and 17 year old John Lawless, who made the goal at Harrogate Town that finally gained us promotion. This Club is really buzzing and this share issue is your chance to be part of it."
Application forms for non-voting ordinary shares are now available from the club at Victoria Park, Mart Lane, Burscough L40 0SD.
