SDA Judging Lists
Following are the criteria for inclusion on the SDA's Judging Lists
A1 & A3 Lists are agreed by the UK Dachshund Clubs
B & C Lists are agreed by the SDA
| A1 | For persons who have previously been approved by the Kennel Club to award CCs in the breed and have completed their first appointment. To have the support of the UK Dachshund Clubs Forum. (KC Policy) |
| A2 | For persons who fulfil all the requirements for the A3 List and who have been assessed in accordance with Kennel Club requirements and accepted by the Kennel Club for inclusion on an A2 List and have the support of the UK Dachshund Clubs Forum. (KC Policy) |

For persons who are recommended as being suitable to award CCs in Dachshunds but not yet approved by the Kennel Club for inclusion onto the A2 List and have the support of the UK Dachshund Clubs Forum. Criteria. Minimum of 7 years judging experience in the breed and have the support of the UK Dachshund Clubs Forum. (KC Policy). To have judged at 2 Breed Club and/or Breed Club Supported Entry Shows, for 2 different Breed Clubs. To have judged a minimum of 300 dogs (KC Policy) To have judged a minimum of 100 classes. To have attended a seminar given by a Kennel Club Accredited Trainer and passed the relevant examination on Kennel Club Regulations & Judging Procedures. (KC Policy as of 1.7.2001) To have attended a seminar given by a Kennel Club Accredited Trainer on Conformation & Movement. (KC Policy as of 1.7.2001) To have attended at least one breed specific seminar run in accordance with the relevant Kennel Club Code of Best Practice and passed an examination and/or assessment where applicable. (KC Policy as of 1.7.2001) To have attended and passed a Hands-on Assessment delivered by a Kennel Club Accredited Trainer (C & M). (KC Policy as of 1.7.2005) To have bred and/or owned a minimum of 3 dogs when they obtained their first entry in the Kennel Club Stud Book (save in exceptional circumstances). (KC Policy) To have stewarded at 12 Shows. (KC Policy)

| B | For persons who are recommended as
being suitable to judge Dachshunds at shows without CCs or at Open
shows.
Criteria To have owned and exhibited Dachshunds for 5 years and have the support of the Club. To have attended a Breed Club Judging Seminar. To have stewarded at least twice. Either: To have judged 10 classes of the breed, with an average of 3 dogs per class, or To have bred and owned at least one dog when it obtained its first entry in the KC Stud Book, or To have achieved a Junior Warrant with at least one dog. |
| C | For aspiring Judges who have shown an interest in the breed and have the support of the Club. Listings would normally include persons who have judged the breed at Limited and Open Shows scheduling not more than 3 classes per Dachshund breed, but do not yet qualify for the B List. |
