The Southern Dachshund Association will be holding a Breed Seminar on Sunday 16th March 2008.
The Seminar is intended to be an educational event, not a "Judging Trial", and is an ideal opportunity to learn about Dachshunds. The speaker will be Vivien Phillips (Clipperdown) talking about the Breed Standard and conformation and movement. In the afternoon, everyone will have the chance to go over a selection of dogs, with guidance from experienced breeders and Championship Show judges, in a practical "hands-on" session.
The venue is the Village Hall, Pirbright, near Guildford, Surrey. This is easy to find, just off the A322 and is a venue already used for our club events.
A buffet lunch is included in the ticket price of £15, together with morning coffee and afternoon tea. Comprehensive handouts on the Breed Standard will also be provided. Those who wish to attend as spectators and not participate in the hands-on session can do so for the reduced price of £8 (including refreshments).
The Seminar starts at 10:30, with coffee being served from 10:00. The afternoon session will finish at 16:00.
