ABkC Dunlop Cadet National Championship
Cadets are for 8 to 13 year olds, and the specially
approved mini-chassis (not restricted to British makes) use a 60cc Comer
W.60 engine. Tyres are from Dunlop and number plates are yellow with black
numbers.

ABkC Tal-Ko Formula Junior TKM National Championship
For 11 to 17 year olds, restricted to 100cc British TKM engine with an inlet restrictor and approved British made karts.
No tuning or chassis modifications are allowed. Uses Maxxis long life tyres
and Blue number plates with white numbers.
ABkC Tal-Ko Formula Junior Extreme TKM
National Championship
As Junior TKM, but using the 115cc Extreme engine
with a restrictor, a higher
weight limit and only for 13 plus year olds, and uses white number plates with black
numbers. THIS WILL NOT BE RUN IN 2008.
ABkC Tal-Ko Formula TKM Extreme National Championships
The same engine and chassis types as the junior, but
without an engine restrictor, makes it easy to move from Junior to Senior
and the engine is increased in size to 115cc.
The class uses red number plates with white numbers and Maxxis tyres. The
TKM classes are raced extensively at club level, resulting in high competition
to just qualify for the right to race in the Super 1.
ABkC Tal-Ko TKM 4-stroke championship for Seniors
and Juniors
Offered for the first time in 2003, these classes
are run to the regulations issued by Tal-Ko for karts using their 200cc
SOHC 4-stroke enine. Tyres are from Maxxis. Seniors use red plates
with yellow numbers and juniors blue plates with yellow numbers.

ABkC Dunlop Honda Cadet National Championship
Cadets are for 8 to 13 year olds, and the specially
approved mini-chassis (not restricted to British makes) use a 160cc
un-sealed Honda 4-stroke GX160 engine. Tyres are from Dunlop and number plates are yellow with
red
numbers.

ABkC MiniMax National Championship
For 11 to 17 year olds, the class is run
to the regulations in the MSA Kart Race Yearbook (the Gold Book), and chassis
registrations are NOT required. A restricted version of the Rotax Junior
125cc engine is used. Tyres are Vega SL8.
ABkC Rotax Junior Max National Championship
For 13 to 17 year olds, the class is run
to the regulations in the MSA Kart Race Yearbook (the Gold Book), and chassis
registrations are NOT required. A de-tuned version of the senior 125cc engine
is used. Tyres are Vega SL8.
ABkC Rotax Senior Max National Championship
For drivers from age 16th year upwards, this senior class
runs to the regulations in the MSA Kart Race Yearbook (the Gold Book). The
engine is a powerful 125cc two-stroke, with an on-board electric self-starter.
Vega SL6 slicks and wets are used.
ABkC Rotax Senior Max 177 National Championship
Offered for the first time in 2006, this senior class
runs to the same regulations as Senior Max except that the weight limit is
higher and the driver must weigh a minimum of 85kg. Number plates
are green with white numbers.
ABkC Rotax Max DD2 National Championship
Offered for the first time in 2007, this senior
class runs to the regulations published by JAG and the ABkC. The
engine is a powerful 125cc two-stroke, with an on-board electric self-starter,
and has two forward gears.
Grippier Vega FM slicks and wets as Max are used.

B4/Renault MSA Formula KF3 British Championship
For 13 to 17 year olds (12 with prior experience), 125cc
reed valve engine
with centrifugal clutch and various tuning restrictions. They use Bridgestone
tyres and yellow number plates with black numbers. This is also a class
raced internationally and many of our drivers will also compete in European
and World events. Timed qualifying is held to determine the grid positions
for the two heats. The best 24 drivers progress to two points scoring finals.
B4/Renault ABkC KF2 National Championship
This class is one of the hardest fought and competitive
classes, using internationally homologated (registered and approved) chassis
with 125cc reed valve TAG engines, maximum rpm 15000. For seniors (16th year and above,
or younger with international experience), using
Bridgestone tyres and white number plates with black numbers. Each driver in this class will take
part in a ten minute timed session, to determine the grid positions for
the two heats. The best 24 drivers progress to two points scoring finals.
A heavyweight class is also offered, subject to numbers, but is not being run in 2008.

B4/Renault MSA Formula KF1 British
Championship
For over 16 year olds (younger with additional
experience) using 125cc reed valve
TAG engines with a bigger carburettor, max rpm 16,000. Few engine restrictions make this the fastest
direct drive class, and many of our drivers also participate in the European and
World karting championships. Uses Dunlop tyres and has yellow number plates
with black numbers. Timed qualifying is held to determine the grid positions
for the two heats. The best 24 drivers progress to two points scoring finals.
