Three Sisters ABkC Rotax Round 5: 19.9.04
NEWSLETTER
With a round in hand, all three titles are provisionally decided, some subject to the completion of various tests. Adam Christodoulou collects titles like no other and takes both MiniMax and Rotax Junior UK, finishing in effortless winning style. Michael Simpson wins Max whilst combining a successful season in the Renault Clio Cup. Tristram Oman bounced back to the top in Max at Three Sisters. Well done to all.
ABkC MiniMax
Heat winners: Adam Christodoulou, Will Stevens, Paul Marsh, Kazeem Manzur, Tom Grice.
B Final: Martin Long, Ben Case, Rupert Svendsen-Cook, Alex Jeffrey, Robert Butler.
A Final: Christo quickly took Mitchell Bayer-Goldman and Manzur, but the latter put on a spurt for the lead. Christo worked hard to creep back up, and slip-streamed past for a 0.06s win.
Provis. Results: Christo, Manzur, Stevens, Devon Modell, Marsh, Bayer-Goldman.
ABkC Rotax Junior UK
Qualifying: Adam Christodoulou 44.49, David Sutton, Stefan di Resta, Stefan Wilson, Chris Brown
Heat winners: Christodoulou x 2, Brown, di Resta, Stevie Taddei, Matt Truelove.
B Final: Richard Singleton, Wilson, Matthew Bell, James Blanchard, Benjamin Whitehead.
A Final: A second chance after a red flag gave Christo a winning start, never headed. Four seconds down the road came a great second place dice, Brown tying it up with two laps to go, from Dean Waters and Thomas Arme.
Provis. Results: Christo, Brown, Waters, Thomas Arme, di Resta, Brett Parris.
ABkC Rotax Max
Qualifying: Tom Brown 44.27, David Bellchambers, Tristram Oman, Michael
Simpson, Raymie Eastwood.
Heat winners: Brown, Bellchambers, Oman, Martin Pierce, William Blackshaw, Karl Haxton, Adam Murphy, Cameron Jackson.
C Final: Lloyd Savage, David Richardson, Hugh Brunton, David Parker, James Russell.
B Final: Glen Denny, Richie Steele, Chris Gornall, Rob Wheldon.
A Final: Oman was on it all day, whilst some of the championship contenders languished - Brunton a faulty starter motor, Bellchambers a black flag. Simpson’s steady fifth was enough for the title. But Brown chased Oman all the way to the flag.

Wigan Whispers
The new tyre tester was deployed after timed practice, and according to
Clerk of the Course Alan Bryant,
“One competitor appeared to have irregularities so we have impounded
these tyres, sealed them up and sent them for analysis.”
The competitor was issued with replacement new tyres.
Max driver Sam Park had the mother of all accidents when her kart cartwheeled
down the hill.
Luckily she was not seriously injured, but her leg and ankle will need time
to heal. Get well soon Sam!
