A deluge delayed practice, but the racing soon resumed. The circuit owner has extensive plans for changes, including better drainage, a new access road and work on the track and kerbs.Adam Constable enjoyed a maiden Extreme win in his first Super 1 season. Chris Palmer and Steven Bartlett took lights to flag victories in Juniors and Inters respectively. Jay Bridger took his long threatening senior win and Michael Cox maintained winning form in the juniors.
Tal-Ko ABkC Formula Jnr. TKM
Heat winners: Chris Palmer, James Duxbury, Thomas Davis, James Dixon.
B Final: Fraser Wallace, Steven Napier, Lee Morgan, Joel Mulholland.
A Final: After a light shower, everyone went out on wets except David Robinson but the track was almost dry. Palmer enjoyed an early break, leaving Duxbury and James Tucker squabbling over 2nd, Duxbury through at the half way point. After falling to nearly last, Robinson picked up the pace to reach 4th on his slicks.
Results: Palmer, Tucker, Duxbury, Robinson, Harry Tincknell, David Brown.
Tal-Ko ABkC Formula TKM Extreme
Heat winners: Michael Ryall, Micky Higham, Paul Ringer, Lee Mabbett, Alex Morgan.
B Final: Michael Newell, Tom Coller, Barnaby Pittingale, Daniel Rochester.
A Final: Adam Constable sliced through to lead from Ryan Furner on the second lap, and was never again headed. Furner dropped back to sixth when pushed wide at the start line, but recovered. A brief fight between Ben Cruttenden and Ryall, resulted in Luke Caudle leapfrogging both. Caudle then lunged Constable at the last corner, but clipped the grass and spun off backwards.
Results: Constable, Cruttenden, Furner, Ryall, Ben Robinson, Edward Lo Bianco.
Tal-Ko ABkC Formula TKM Intermediate
Heat winners: Steven Bartlett x 2, Paul Moden.
A Final: Bartlett was the man on form, but pushed all the way by Will Bullard and Joe Osborne once Moden faded to fourth. Bullard had hoisted himself up from grid nine after a heat DNF and challenged for the win at the last corner.
Results: Bartlett, Bullard, Osborne, Moden, Richard Bond, Oliver Blake.
Tal-Ko Formula TKM 4-stroke
Heat winners: Sam Dimelow x 2, Carl Willoughby.
A Final: Both championship leaders Chris Needham and Willoughby had poor days, with Willoughby ending up a bank, but still taking the points lead. As the rain fell, Dimelow pulled a good lead over Brendan Carton, who broke his axle, then Jay Bridger found pace to tow Rob Godding up to Dimelow, both passing.
Results: Bridger, Godding, Dimelow, Chris Needham, Chris Walsh, Nigel Higgs.
Tal-Ko Formula Junior TKM 4-stroke
Heat winners: Dafydd Iles, Michael Cox, Kieran Vernon.
A Final: Cox took full advantage of a small mistake by Iles coming onto the back straight to lead. Every time Iles and Vernon fought, Cox eased away for yet another win. Half a second quicker than anyone else, Tommy Truscott vaulted up from grid 11 to third. Ashley Heard and Alex Shackleton wiped out a marshals post in a violent collision.
Results: Cox, Iles, Truscott, Vernon, Tom Bridge, Joel Saunders.
Lydd Loiterings
Sarah Barrow missed her chance of getting into the Extreme A Final with a three second driving standards penalty. All the senior 4-stroke drivers were warned to be on better behaviour at the next round after an acrimonious final.
